Readers have been asking for some way for me to notify them when new blog posts are up. This is especially needed for intraday market updates, since I don’t follow a regular posting schedule.
I’ve decided to use twitter for this purpose. This will allow clients to learn of new blog posts either from their computer or their phone as soon as they are posted. My twitter address for these blog updates only is @spiralcal This new feature should greatly add to the utility of pay attention or pay the offer. I have a twitter count and am trying to locate you. What is your username? spiralcal? I’ve tried that in the “Find People” tab but haven’t been able to locate you. Help?

Likewise. When I search for username spiralcal (or @spiralcal, I’m a new tweeter and don’t know the syntax) I get told “We couldn’t find anyone named spiralcal.”

I suspect it takes them time to update their database. I just joined right at the time I posted this. I searched my name and username also and came up empty. I registered as chris carolan username spiralcal.
Regarding email – the software folks who built the membership module are coming out with an email utility that will integrate. But they don’t have it working at this point in time. I’m okay with adding it eventually, but I needed to get something up and running now. The twitter advantage is you can get them in text format on your phone. Also – you need not follow anyone you don’t want to, so it need not be intrusive in your life. Very unlike facebook etc.
